2026 Character Calendar

What does it mean to be wise? Life is full of difficult choices, Humans have always had to choose which voices they will listen to. In some ways, the number of choices has never been greater, as through our electronic devices, we have an easy window into a world of voices clamoring for our attention.

The Bible tells us that there is also a different voice calling for our attention, a voice that has been calling out to mankind from the beginning of the world. Even in the midst of our busy lives, she is there inviting us to join her on our life’s journey. She is warning us from dangerous shortcuts, from hidden traps, and by walking with her, we can enjoy true peace and fulfillment. The choice is ours to make: will we listen to her call?

In the Bible, wisdom was a vital trait needed for the leaders of God’s people. Throughout this year, we will reflect on the history of the nation, in their search for the “one true king” that would lead the people of God into establishing God’s kingdom on earth.
